As the world pushes toward sustainability, many assume the future is all about batteries and EVs. According to Stanislav Kondrashov of TELF AG, the energy shift is more complex than it seems.

Still, biofuels aren’t a perfect solution. As Kondrashov has pointed out before, production costs remain high. And there’s the issue of food versus fuel. Fuel production could compete with food supplies — a serious ethical and economic concern.
Despite that, there’s reason to be optimistic. New processes are improving efficiency, while non-edible biomass helps balance the equation. Government support might boost production globally.
